at the Weizmann Institute of Science
We are a student-run professional forum under the the Feinberg Graduate School of Weizmann Institute of Science. Our mission is to connect the intellectual powerhouse of the institute to the Israeli and global biotech industry.
Our aim is to collectively explore careers in the life-science industry with professionals and senior leaders. We hold regular meetings and networking events to build a strong community of Ph.D. students, post-docs, alumni, and industry leaders.

The last five years have witnessed much-anticipated launches of drugs such as Kymriah (for leukemia) and Zolgensma (for spinal muscular atrophy). However, the industry is still unsure about how will these advanced therapies be valued by the patients and healthcare providers. The healthcare industry is designed to treat chronic treatments for disease management rather than cure forever. This calls for innovative financial engineering solutions to come up with models to pay for these therapies.
To discuss more the recent developments and prospects of cell and gene therapy drugs, we were delighted to host Jessica Turner, a senior consultant at Simon-Kucher & Partners
We have previously hosted lectures, meetings, discussions and networking afternoon with senior leaders from all branches of the life science industry, including early-stage biotech, large companies, venture capital firms, technology transfer organizations, etc.
Some of our events:
Spotlight session on "FutuRx - the biotech accelerator and careers in early-stage biotech".
Understanding "Venture Capital in Life Sciences"
Information session with Merck Israel.
Discussion on research careers in Europe at the interface of industry and academia.
